Maharastra: Marathwada region records fresh 609 COVID-19 cases

Aurangabad/UNI:  At least 609 fresh positive cases of novel coronavirus and 10 virus infected fatalities were reported across the eight districts of Marathwada region in Maharashtra state till Friday night.

With this, the total fatalities reached 699 in these districts while the corona positive toll in the region mounted to 19317 so far, the data showed.

The official data collected from all the district headquarters by UNI stated that Aurangabad, one of the worst affected district in the region, saw 6 deaths and 324 fresh cases.

It was followed by 39 cases and one death in Nanded, 70 cases in Latur ,18 cases in Osmanabad, 26 cases and two deaths in Parbhani, 71 cases in Jalna, 37 cases in Beed and 27 cases and onedeath in Hingoli.

Numbers of cases has been significantly increased across the region due to starts of antigen tests across the region.
