Maharashtra: 36 more SRPF jawans test COVID-19 positive in Hingoli

Hingoli/UNI: Thirty-six more SRPF jawans and a nurse tested COVID-19 positive here, the second largest single-day spike in pandemic cases since May 1, informed sources from the District Civil Surgeon's Office on Tuesday.

On Monday night, 22 jawans and the nurse were found to be positive while reports of the remaining 14 personnel were received today.

With the new additions, the number of infected jawans now stands at 82, including 46 others, who earlier contracted the contagion.

Most these jawans have returned from postings in Nashik's Malegaon and Mumbai, both of these places, have high number of the COVID-19 cases.

The infected personnel are undergoing treatment at the SRPF Hospital.

Presently, this district has 89 confirmed cases, including seven civilians while has been cured.
