India reports 3,011 new Covid-19 cases

New Delhi/UNI: India reported 3,011 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total active cases to 36,126 as per the Health Ministry data Monday.

As many as 8 fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 5,28,701

A total of 4,301 patients recovered, taking total recoveries to 4,40,32,671.

The active cases comprise 0.08 per cent of the total infections, whereas the national recovery rate stood at 98.73%.

According to the bulletin, 89.57 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 1,34,849 tests have been conducted.

"India has administered 218.77 crore doses (94.87 crore second dose and 21.41 crore precaution dose) of Covid-19 vaccine, so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," Ministry data said.
