India reports 16,135 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI: India reported 16,135 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of active caseload to 1,13,864, as per the Union Health Ministry data on Monday.

Meanwhile, the total caseload rose to 4,35,18,564, while the death toll rose to 5,25,223 as 24 more people succumbed to the disease.

Total 13,958 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,28,79,477, whereas the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.53 percent.

According to the bulletin, 86.39 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,32,978 tests have been conducted.

“India has administered 197.98 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” Ministry data said.
