India records 13,596 new COVID-19 cases, 166 deaths in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India, the nation which witnessed a deadly second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, registered 13,596 new cases in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Indian government on Monday.

During the same period, 166 people died due to the virus.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.12 percent.

It is the highest figure reached since March 2020.

Meanwhile, 19,582 people recovered from the deadly virus in the past 24 hours.

Active cases currently account for less than 1 percent of total cases.

It currently stands at  0.56 percent.

India's Active caseload stands at 1,89,694.
