India adds 33,376 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India added  33,376 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Saturday.

During the same period, 308 people lost their lives due to the deadly virus.

Active cases account for 1.18% of total cases.

India's Active caseload stands at 3,91,516.

Recovery Rate currently at 97.49%.

Meanwhile, 32,198 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours.

India witnessed a deadly second wave of the pandemic this year.

People struggled to find oxygen supply and hospital beds amid rising cases.

The spike in deaths due to the virus also left crematoriums and burial grounds overwhelmed.
