Haryana to begin vaccination for 18-44 age group very soon

Chandigarh/UNI: With the state of Haryana receiving part supply of COVID-19 vaccine doses, it will start the vaccination for the age group of 18 to 44 very soon.

Stating this here on Saturday Additional Chief Secretary Health Rajeev Arora said that the doses of COVID-19 vaccine received will be administered to age group of 18 to 44 years. He elaborated that the state has sought for 66 lakh such doses which will be allotted in a phased manner.

He further said that vaccine doses recently received have been distributed across the districts of the state and its administration will start soon.

Sharing information on the vaccination doses already administered, Arora said that the state has in all administered 38,13,274 doses of the vaccine to the people of the state.

On the administration of vaccines to Health Care Workers (HCWs) and Frontline Workers (FLWs), he said that 2,01,398 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and around 1,27,907 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the second dose.

Sharing the details of the Frontline Workers (FLWs), he said that 1,46,441 FLWs have been administered the first dose of the vaccine and 64,599 FLWs have been administered the second dose.
