DRDO to build two 550-bed Covid hospitals in Lucknow

Lucknow/UNI: On the instructions of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the Army will build two Covid Hospitals in Lucknow. For this, the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) team will reach Lucknow by a special aircraft on Friday.

The work for the hospital will start immediately, sources close to Rajnath Singh said here.

Lucknow MP Singh had earlier held talks with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on cases of rising corona virus infection in Uttar Pradesh and particularly in Lucknow.

Yesterday state Law Minister and Local MLA of Lucknow Brajesh Pathak had announced to donate Rs 1 crore from his MLA fund for Covid.

On the instructions of the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the team of engineers and scientists of the Army will build two Covid Hospitals in Lucknow. One hospital will have 250 beds and the other 300 beds. Rajnath Singh has instructed the army to carry out this work on mission mode.

A team of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is reaching Lucknow today under the direction of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who will select two such places where a hospital with a capacity of 250 and 300 beds will be constructed.

That is, this team will build a 550-bed capacity Covid Hospital in Lucknow. This work will be done in mission mode in the next few days. Along with this, Rajnath Singh is sending some ventilators from Delhi along with this team to Lucknow. The team of doctors is also coming to Lucknow along with the team of DRDO by a special aircraft.
