Nashik/UNI: Amid the COVID surge, a team formed by the Centre visited Kalvan taluka and reviewed the measures being taken to contain the pandemic, a report said on Sunday.

The two-member team comprising of Dr Sahil Gowel and Dr. PK Verma, which was accompanied by the concerned officials, were informed about the containment zones as well as the hotspot in the area.

On Saturday, the team had visited the Manor Corona Care Center, interacted with the patients and ensured that drugs and health services were readily available.

They also checked the number of beds as well as the availability of oxygen cylinders. Later, they went to the vaccination centre set up at the Navibej PHC.

The duo expressed satisfaction over the efforts being taken under the ‘Break-the-Chain’ initiative, the report added.
