Arunachal Pradesh reports 497 Covid-19 cases in 24 hours, toll climbs to 111

Itanagar/UNI: As many as 497 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh during the last 24 hours, taking the state's caseload to 26,317, while the death toll rose to 111 as two more people succumbed to the virus.

 

Out of the fresh cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 103, Tawang 67 and Namsai at 64, as per the bulletin issued by the State's Directorate of Health Services.

Barring 140 patients, all of them were reported as asymptomatic.

A 55-year-old woman from Changlang who was referred to AMCH, Dibrugarh in Assam, expired on Friday.

Another 79-year-old man from Itanagar Capital Complex died on Thursday at a dedicated Covid Hospital in Chimpu.

On a positive note, 333 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the recovery tally to 22,352.
