The market remains cautious ahead of April-June GDP data release, ends positive on Thursday

Mumbai, Aug 31 (IBNS): The Indian market closed higher on Thursday with BSE Sensex up 84.03 points at 31730.49 and NSE Nifty up 33.50 points at 9917.90.

However, investors chose to remain cautious ahead of GDP data for the April-June quarter to be released later on Thursday, according to media reports.

Top gainers on Thursday included Wipro, Idea Cellular, Bajaj Auto, Reliance, Tata Power, Maruti Suzuki and Cipla while Coal India, Bharti Infratel, Bosch, Infosys, M&M, ONGC, Aurobindo Pharma and Dr Reddy's Labs declined.
