Tata Power launches 'Be Green'

Mumbai/ Kolkata, May 18 (IBNS): Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power Company has launched its 'Be Green' initiative under the aegis of Greenolution to unify consumers in the green movement.

The initiative will also motivate them to associate with and contribute to ensuring a greener and sustainable planet in a more integrated fashion.

The Company has always set a standard in adopting sustainable practices in its business by using innovative technology, providing customers access to energy-efficient processes, increasing green generation capacity and partnering with institutions of scientific learning.

‘Be Green’ initiative has been kick-started with a unique initiative of ‘Pledging support to Nepal’, whereby consumers are being motivated to opt for e-bills and the savings will be donated for the cause.

A single consumer opting for e-bill results in a saving of Rs.10 per (approximately) month, this amount will be donated to the larger cause of providing relief to the people of Nepal. The current consumer base already registered for e-bill and newly registered consumers to register for e-bills where each registration will result in a saving of Rs 10.

These 10 rupees saved by the Company on behalf of its consumers will be accumulated over a period of 6 months and would be donated to the larger cause of providing relief to the people of Nepal. The Company already has 15,000 customers registered to receive e-bills and is motivating more and more consumers to sign up to go green.

‘Be Green’, follows the mantra that green is the only way to evolve and has set new benchmarks by caring for the planet and its future. Tata Power aims to utilise customer touch points such as social media, emailers, CRCs, Bills, etc to promote and create awareness, thus creating a collaborative and participative environment.
