Mumbai/UNI: MG Motor India has registered the highest-ever retail sales figure during February 2021 at 4,329 units, a growth of 215 pc against the same month last year.

During the month, the British legacy automaker clocked the highest-ever production, bookings, and sales figures as it received a great response for all its product lines including ZS EV, MG Hector, and Gloster.

Today, the automaker is driving India towards its ‘cleaner and greener’ future with the high-performance MG ZS EV. The vehicle’s 2021 variant, ZS EV 2021, which comes with a new HT battery, received more than 350 orders during the month or more than double its sales figure in January.

MG had also launched the all-new Hector 2021 this year with CVT transmission option, Champagne Black interior, Dual Tone Exterior, and a host of other changes. In February, Gloster production also increased gradually despite supply chain challenges.

Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Rakesh Sidana Director – Sales, MG Motor India, said, 'The higher sales of 2021 product lines are very encouraging. We also expect the EV trend to accelerate with our charging infrastructure now available across more cities. The growth momentum is expected to continue in March, and we are working at the back-end to try and reduce the waiting period for our customers.'

MG recently celebrated the roll-out of its 50,000th Hector in Vadodara, Gujarat, with an all-women crew. The initiative has created a new benchmark while celebrating ‘Diversity’ – one of the core pillars of the automaker which features an industry-leading 33% share of women in its workforce, wherein female professionals work shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts across all business functions.

Driven by its vision of CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric) mobility, the cutting-edge automaker has augmented the across-the-board ‘experiences’ within the automobile segment today. It has introduced several ‘firsts’ in India including India’s first Internet car – MG Hector, India’s first Pure Electric Internet SUV – MG ZS EV, and India’s first Autonomous (Level 1) Premium SUV – MG Gloster.

MG is committed to providing the best services to its customers with a wide portfolio of products and strong after-sales support. Its products also come with the assurance of a low total cost of ownership along with one of the best resale values in its segment.
