Kolkata, June 23 (IBNS): Five years after it opened its Uppal wholesale distribution centre in the city of Hyderabad, METRO Cash & Carry is all set to inaugurate its third distribution centre in Hyderabad's Shamshabad area located right off airport road.

The new Shamshabad outlet will be METRO’s 17th in the country, and will open its doors to customers on June 25.

Last year, METRO announced its plans to expand its network of distribution centres to about 50 by 2020.

The company’s latest outlet aims to serve small and mid-sized traders, caterers, restaurants and hotels in the Shamshabad area, addressing all their buying needs.

Speaking on the new METRO outlet, Rajeev Bakshi, Managing Director, METRO Cash and Carry India expressed his confidence that METRO’s new offerings would delight Hyderabad customers.  “METRO’s latest wholesale centre consolidates our experience and learning of over a decade in India.  Our local customers have come to recognize the unbeatable quality and value for money that METRO offers, and I have no doubt that our Shamshabad outlet will build further on the trust the customers of Hyderabad have placed in us.”

“METRO continues to strive for the highest standards of excellence in all our wholesale solutions, so we can make our customers’ businesses more profitable and their buying experience at METRO world-class.  We’re immensely grateful to the State of Telangana for its support of METRO, and hope to continue to drive benefits to the overall economy of the State, through increased employment, business partnerships and community engagement,” Bakshi added.
