Mumbai, Aug 29 (IBNS): Jet Airways, India's premier full-service international airline, is set to introduce 28 new flights in the coming month.

Being a network carrier, Jet Airways’ new services – including industry firsts as well as a mix of non-stop and one-stop flights – will strengthen the airline’s footprint, enabling it to meet the rising demand for domestic and international air travel in emerging cities.

The new services will also help connect guests with other cities including metros as well as the airline’s global network via its hubs in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru.

Jet Airways will introduce daily flights from Indore, connecting the ‘largest city in Madhya Pradesh’ to Jodhpur as well as to Vadodara.

In other notable firsts, Jet Airways is also set to commence flight operations between Chandigarh and Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Jodhpur as well as Vadodara and Jaipur. Jet Airways will be the only airline in the country operating these routes which will improve connectivity between north India and central as well as western India.

The airline is also introducing additional frequencies on key existing routes, expanding non-stop capacity between Mumbai – Guwahati and Delhi – Bagdogra and providing additional one-stop connectivity on the Mumbai – Bagdogra and New Delhi – Guwahati routes.

Among other network enhancements, the schedule will see Jet Airways launch non-stop flights connecting Bengaluru with Lucknow, Indore with Kolkata, Kolkata with Chandigarh, Coimbatore with Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam with Mumbai and Delhi, reflecting the growing demand for its services to facilitate the travel aspirations of its guests.

Raj Sivakumar, Sr. Vice-President, Worldwide Sales & Distribution, Jet Airways, said, "As air travel gains prominence in emerging cities across India such as Indore, Jodhpur, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam and Vadodara, there is an increasing need to introduce connectivity solution for these cities. Our schedule has been meticulously planned to meet the expected surge in demand over the coming months."

"New flights, additional frequencies, greater capacity across more sectors are meant to offer our discerning guests additional choice, convenience, connectivity and superior comfort. This will also benefit Small and Medium Enterprises as well as corporate travellers who will be able to enjoy day-return flights. I am sure our new flights will reinforce Jet Airways’ as the preferred airline and will boost connectivity, trade and development in each of these cities," said he.
