India's August CPI stand at 5.05 pct
New Delhi, Sept 12 (IBNS): India's August Consumer Price Index dropped sharply to stand at 5.05 percent year-on-year.
It had touched 6.07 percent in July.
"The Central Statistics Office (CSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has revised the Base Year of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 2010=100 to 2012=100 with effect from the release of indices for the month of January 2015," read a government statement.
