Indian Rupee down 73 paise against USD

Mumbai/UNI: The rupee on Monday heavily down by 73 paise to 75.61 against the greenback on brisk demand for US dollar by bankers and importers amid outflow by foreign institutional investors, dealers at the Forex market informed.

The domestic unit tumbled down by 45 paise to 75.30 in opening trade.

Till the end of the session it lost ground by 73 paise to close negative at 75.61 as compared to its previous close.

It registered days high and low at 75.66 and 75.38 respectively.

The Indian currency was seen weak on strong dollar against other world currencies along with sliding Stock market, dealers added.
