Indian Market: Sensex up over 100 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex remained strong for the third straight session, as it advanced 175 points to open at 60,786.07 when buying was seen in Healthcare, Industrials, IT and Telecom stocks.

The Nifty too rose 26 points at 18,080.60. The Sensex registered day's high and low at 60,786.07 and 60,462.03 points, respectively, so far.

The Mid Cap moved up 0.65 pc and Small Cap by 0.88 pc. In 30 scrips, 18 advanced while 12 declined.

The gainers were M&M by 1.97 per cent to Rs 849.90; Maruti Suzuki by 1.18 per cent to Rs 7,866.95; TCS by 1.17 per cent to Rs 3,813.85; Tech Mahindra by 1.07 per cent to Rs 1,514.65 and Sun Pharma by 0.94 per cent to Rs 934.75.

The losers were Bajaj Finance by 1.30 per cent to Rs 7,391.45; HDFC by 0.93 per cent to Rs 2,654; HDFC Bank by 0.91 per cent to Rs 1,641.35 and Bajaj Finserv by 0.85 per cent to Rs 17,040.50.
