Indian Market: Sensex ends up 99.36 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday jumped by 99.36 pts at 36,693.69 following gains in Energy, Telecom, IT and Technology stocks.

The nifty of national stock exchange too moved up by 47.15 pts to 10,815.20.

The Nifty recorded days high and low atn10,894.05 and 10,756.05 pts respectively.

Tumbling down by 143 pts on Friday, the Sensex opened on a strong note at 36,880.66, up by 286 pts. It surged by 430 pts to 37,024.20, days high. In late trade, it erased earlier gains and finished at 36,693.69, rising by 99.36 pts from its previous close.

It was dropped by 61 pts to 36,533.96, days low.

The sectoral indices like Energy, Telecom, IT, FMCG, Metal and Technology lifted the market.

While, Financial, Banking, Realty and Utilities stocks declined today.

In scrips, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel and Infosys gained while Bajaj Finance, HDFC Bank, Powergrid, ICICI Bank and SBI eased.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.05 pc while Small Cap fell by 0.15 pc.

In 30 scrips, 19 advanced while 11 declined.
