Indian market ends Wednesday on positive note

Mumbai, Jun 14 (IBNS): The Indian equity benchmarks ended Wednesday on positive note with BSE Sensex up 52.42 points at 31155.91 and NSE Nifty up 11.25 points at 9618.15.

Some of the key stocks that gained were Reliance, Bank of Baroda, Dr Reddy's Labs, L&T, ICICI Bank and Hero Motocorp while Cipla, Yes Bank, ITC, HDFC, Idea Cellualr Wipro and Tata Steel declined.

The Union government on Wednesday published the official Wholesale Price Index (WP) for ‘All Commodities’ (Base: 2011-12=100) for the month of May, 2017.

According to published data, wholesale inflation slowed 2.17 per cent in May from 3.85 percent in the previous month.
