Diesel prices up by 95 paise

New Delhi, Oct 15 (IBNS): Diesel prices have been raised by Rs. 0.95 per litre on Thursday.

The price of petrol remained unchanged.

The new prices will be effective from midnight.

In a statement, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. said it  has 'decided to increase the Retail Selling Price of Diesel by Rs. 0.95/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States w.e.f. midnight of 15th / 16th October, 2015. With this change, the price of Diesel in Delhi will become Rs. 45.90/litre'.


"The current level of the international prices and INR-USD exchange rate warrant a price increase, which is being passed on to consumers with this price revision. The movement of prices in international oil market and INR-USD exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes," read the statement.
