New Delhi/UNI: The Delhi government has decided to impose a 70 percent 'Special Corona Fee' on the Maximum Retail Price(MRP) on the bottle of liquor, sources said here on Monday night.

''From Tuesday, a 70 percent 'Special Corona Fee' has been imposed on the Maximum Retail Price marked on a bottle of liquor in the National Capital. This order will be applicable on liquor sold in Delhi from Tuesday,'' the sources said.

On Sunday, the Delhi government had announced that during the third phase (2 weeks extension period) of the COVID-19 lockdown, shops selling liquor, paan, gutka, tobacco etc will be allowed to operate provided they are standalone (single) shops, neighborhood (colony) shops or shops in residential complexes.

These shops will ensure a minimum 6 feet distance among customers and also ensure that not more than 5 persons are present at one time at the shop.
