Cabinet approves 49 pct FDI in defence
New Delhi, Aug 6 (IBNS) In a significant move, the Union Cabinet on Wednesday cleared the proposal of raising the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) limit in defence to 49 percent, media reports said.
The FDI limit in the sector was raised from 26 percent to 49 percent.
In the Railways sector, the Cabinet approved a proposal to allow 100 percent FDI for building the infrastructure.
The decisions were taken during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
