Indian Consulate in Toronto comemorates Guru Nanak Jayanti

Toronto, Nov 18 (IBNS): To commemorate the Guru Nanakji Jayanti on November 14, the Consul General of India in Toronto, Dinesh Bhatia visited Gurudwaras, the Sikh temples in Greater Toronto Area and conveyed his greetings to the devotees. 

He visited Sikh Heritage Centre, Brampton, Scarborough Gurudwara and Nanaksar Gurudwara in Brampton.

During his speeches, he recalled the message of the first Sikh Guru and conveyed that we should attempt to live up to his teachings. 

He made a mention of the open-house by the Consul General at the Consulate on every Friday from 10-12 hrs., the ongoing life certificate camps for pensioners from India and also conveyed the official positon of Government of India on demonetization of Rs. 500/- and 1000/- currency notes.
