Quetta, Jan 18 (IBNS): A Pakistani court on Monday acquitted country's former President General Pervez Musharraf in a case connected to the alleged murder of former Baloch nationalist leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.

The order was given by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Quetta.

"The court also acquitted former provincial home minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani and Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) chief and member of National Assembly Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao," Dawn News reported.

During a military crackdown in 2006, Bugti clan leader in Balolchistan Akbar Khan Bugti was killed.

Musharraf was the president and army chief of the nation during that time.
