Afghanistan bolsters defence, adds four-new light attack aircraft

Kabul, Mar 21 (IBNS): Bolstering its defence, the Afghan Air Force has added four new light-attack aircraft in its armour, local Khaama Press reported.

The A-29 Super Tucano aircraft arrived in Kabul on Monday.

The Air Force is expected to use them in the new fighting season.

The agency quoted officials as saying that the new aircraft will be used in close-air attack, air interdiction, escort and armed reconnaissance.
