Russia fires 26 missiles on IS in Syria

Moscow/Damascus, Oct 7 (IBNS) Russian navy on Wednesday, launched 26 missiles from 4 warships on Islamic State captured Syria, confirmed Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

According to reports by the BBC website, Syrian ground troops have launched an offensive under Russian air cover, Syrian officials have confirmed.

Russia have been accused of causing casualties, hitting non-IS targets in Syria, allegations that the Russian Government have denied categorically.

Meanwhile, reports of Russian air-strikes taking down civilians in Syria have surfaced, leading the The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights to term it as "the most intense fighting in months."
