Maldives unleashes pan-India video campaign with PVR Cinemas

Male, May 18 (IBNS): The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation has tied up with PVR Cinemas pan-India for a 2-week video campaign that will run in all major cinema halls of the PVR auditoriums.
The promotion had been timed around the beginning of the summer holiday season in India to catch the attention of the holidaymakers; and during the release of the major blockbusters -- Piku and Bombay Velvet from  May 8 to May 21. 
 
The cinemas where the Maldives clip will be shown are: New Delhi - PVR Anupam Saket, New Delhi, PVR Vikaspuri, New Delhi, PVR Priya, PVR Plaza, Select Citywalk; Gurgaon - PVR Ambience Mall, PVR MGF Mall; Mumbai -- PVR Juhu, PVR Mulund, PVR Goregaon, PVR Phoenix Mills Worli, PVR Phoenix Market City Kurla, PVR Andheri Citi Mall; Bangalore - PVR Forum Mall, PVR Phoenix Market City Whitefield, PVR Banagalore MS Regaliaa Elements Mall, Hyderabad -- PVR RK Cineplex, PVR Forum Mall Kukkapally; Chennai - PVR Ampa Mall; Kolkata -- PVR Avani, Cinemax Mani Square Mall. 
 
Mohamed Adam, Deputy Managing Director, MMPRC said, “India remains one of the largest source markets for us and we are confident that this new video campaign in PVR cinema halls will enable us to reach out to the target audience. Maldives is a destination that offers a complete experience be it gourmet food, water activities, relaxation on the beach or world-class spa experience. So whether it is for a honeymoon, a family holiday or just an extended weekend getaway -- there is something for everyone.”
 
In the first quarter of 2015, Indian visitor arrivals to Maldives were up by 17% vis-à-vis the same period during last year. 
 
Also, a total of 45,587 visitors from India visited Maldives last year which is a growth of 19.9% compared to year 2013. Maldives offers Free visa on arrival for all nationalities which is a further incentive for the Indian traveler to visit Maldives.
 
2015 will see a focus from MMPRC to participate in more consumer driven activities designed to reach out to all segments of the Indian traveler and will see a continued focus to jointly working with all other partners to further increase the number of Indians visiting Maldives.
