Joe replaces injured Marsh in Australian squad

Sydney, Dec 21 (IBNS) Joe Burns will replace injured Mitch Marsh in the Australian side for the upcoming third Test against India on Dec 26.

Joe Burns will make his Test debut on Boxing Day.

Speaking on Burns,  coach Darren Lehmann was quoted as saying by Cricket Australia website "When I saw him play, I thought he could really play at the next level."

Lehmann coached Joe Burns at Queensland.

He said: "Joe Burns can bat anywhere from 1-6. We've got some flexibility there."

Australia defeated India in the second Test to go 2-0 up in the series.

Australia's squad for the third Test: David Warner, Chris Rogers, Shane Watson, Steve Smith (capt), Shaun Marsh, Joe Burns, Brad Haddin, Mitchell Johnson, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood, Ryan Harris, Peter Siddle.
