CWG: Indian wrestler Vinesh wins gold

Glasgow, July 29 (IBNS) Indian wrestlers put up a strong show on Tuesday as Vinesh beat England's Yana Rattigan to clinch gold medal in the 48 kg women's freestyle event here.


The Indian wrestler defeated her opponent 11-8 to win the medal.

India has won 32 medals in total so far.

Indian wrestler Amit Kumar won the first gold in wrestling in the ongoing Commonwealth Games here on Tuesday.

He defeated  Nigeria's Ebikweminomo Welson 6-2 in 57kg freestyle to clinch the medal.
