Orphan Black is back with Season 2

India Blooms News Service | | 23 Apr 2014, 04:05 pm
Mumbai, Apr 23 (IBNS) AXN is all set to launch the second season of the award winning show Orphan Black.

The show in its last run was boasting a small but super-passionate audience.

The sci-fi drama has managed to garner a cult-like status amongst its audiences. This fan favorite has won 4 Awards for Best Actress: Tatiana Maslany, and 3 Awards for Best Drama/Best New Show/Most Underrated Show.

In season one we saw Sarah, a streetwise hustler who is pulled into a compelling conspiracy after witnessing the suicide of a girl who looks just like her. It is revealed that she has clones.

We’re just over a month away from the second season of the series, but its miles apart from the earlier.

We're definitely meeting at least one new clone played by the incomparable Tatiana Maslany in this season. Her name is Jennifer Fitzsimmons, a Midwestern teacher and swim coach.

She gets sick, and with a kind of the version of the illness that Katja and Cosima have. Dr. Leekie's Neolutionist Company, is apparently treating her illness, and is not very successfully.

Orphan Black Season 2 premieres at 9 pm on Apr 25 on AXN.
