Mumbai, Nov 9 (IBNS): Bollywood actress and actor Akshay Kumar's wife Twinkle Khanna has joined micro-blogging site Twitter.

Her user name on the site is 'Mrs Funny Bones'.

In a short description about herself, the actress called herself a "bona fide member of an ambiguous tribe of the new age Indian woman; heavily armed with the weapons of my choice : google and lame jokes."

In her first tweet, Khanna said: "New girl in town -trying to find my way in the world of tweets and peeps."

Speaking on his wife's arrival to the world of Twitter, Bollywood's 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar tweeted: "Guys my better half, Tina is now on Twitter as @mrsfunnybones so show her some love and follow now."

Khanna is the daughter of late Bollywood actor Rajesh Khanna and yesteryear actress Dimple Kapadia.

She had made her B-town debut with 'Barsaat'.

She has acted in several films like ' Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai',  'Baadshah' and 'Mela'.

Welcoming her friend Khanna to Twitter, filmmaker Karan Johar tweeted: "Akshays gorgeous wife....my childhood best friend and named Rani's character in k2h2 after her is on Twitter!! TINA!!! @mrsfunnybones."
