Mumbai: Snapdeal to host short film contest during Kala Ghoda Festival, last date to submit entries Feb 9

Mumbai, Feb 4 (IBNS): Aspiring film makers can avail an opportunity to discuss their work with industry leaders by participating in a short film festival on the sidelines of Mumbai's popular Kala Ghoda Festival.

Snapdeal, one of India's well-known online marketplaces and a collaborator of the Kala Ghoda Festival, is calling for entries for Unbox Stories, a short film festival. to be held from Feb 2 -9,2017.

Between Feb 2 and Feb 9, participants will have to submit a 15 seconds - 3 minutes film on the theme, “Chase your dreams, Unbox your potential!”

Among other things, the Snapdeal red box must play an integral role in the film and entrants need to incorporate the Snapdeal Unbox endslate in their videos.

The short film needs to be uploaded on YouTube and the link of the same has to be mailed at  kalaghoda@snapdeal.co.

Kanika Kalra, V.P. Marketing Snapdeal, said, ”Being a start-up ourselves, we believe in the potential that can be unleashed among the upcoming talent in India. The Kala Ghoda Film contest gives budding filmmakers an opportunity to get a platform like no other. The videos will be judged by a panel comprising Gaurav Sharma – Chief Programming Officer, Fever FM and Radio Nasha, and Udita Jhunjhunwala – KGAF Cinema Festival Curator.

The top 10 videos selected will be promoted across Snapdeal's social handles.

The top three most voted and liked video by the jury and the audience will get a chance to feature at the Kala Ghoda Film Festival.

The winner of the contest will get a chance to present his/her dream project to National Award Winning Filmmaker,  Madhur Bhandarkar.
