Patna, Jan 10 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): The CBI probing the Siwan journalist murder case has sought a detailed report from the jail administration about a meeting between RJD Bihar minister Abdul Ghafoor and former RJP MP Mohammad Shahabuddin in jail, as per media reports.

The meeting had reportedly taken place on March 3 last year. During the meeting, the minister reportedly had refreshments with the convicted RJD politician Shahabuddin in jail in alleged violation of prison rules.

As per the report, the CBI wants to know under what circumstances, the minority affairs minister Ghafoor had gone to jail to meet Shahabuddin, how long the meeting between the two lasted and if there is any provision in the jail manual for arranging a party.

Bihar home secretary Amir Subhani told the media on Tuesday that he had no information regarding this development.

“I have no information (regarding the CBI seeking information from the jail administration about Shahabuddin-minister meeting). Please ask the CBI,” Subhani told the media.
