New Delhi, Dec 8 (IBNS): Inaugurating 4th Bi-Annual Photo Exhibition of All India Working News Cameramen’s association at Lalit Kala Academy, the Minister for Information & Broadcasting, M. Venkaiah Naidu said that information with confirmation is ammunition and photo confirms the information.

Speaking further,  Naidu said that one picture is worth a thousand words. Written and spoken words are essential for communication, but sometimes, pictures can make a point even more powerfully.

Newspapers and television stations that are trying to report news can make good use of pictures to show what is going on in the world.

Speaking further, the Minister said that “there is also a saying "I'll believe it if I see it."

Studies prove that people tend to trust their eyes more than their other senses.

"One of the duties of newspapers and television news stations is to report the truth. Pictures can be used to back up statements of fact that people may doubt," he said.

Naidu paid rich compliments to photojournalists and said art is inherent in our blood and is part of our civilization.
