New Delhi, Oct 26 (IBNS); President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on the eve of their Independence Day.

In a message to Frederick Nathaniel Ballantyne, the Governor General of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the President said, “On behalf of the Government and people of India and on my own behalf, I convey warm greetings and felicitations to Your Excellency and to the people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on the occasion of your Independence Day."

"India and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines traditionally enjoy close and friendly relations. Continued interaction and people-to-people contacts have further enriched these historic ties. I am confident that relations between our two countries will further strengthen - at both the bilateral level and through our engagements in the Commonwealth and the CARICOM," Mukherjee said.

Mukherjee said, "I take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for your Excellency’s well being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.”
