Kolkata, Dec 22 (IBNS): Indus Valley World School on Thursday celebrated Christmas at their school premises with the underprivileged students of Joyjeet Das Memorial School, a special school catering to the underprivileged children of Kolkata.

School students and teachers, decked up as Santa Clause presented gifts to these deprived children.

“Christmas brings joy to all, and is celebrated beyond boundaries, class, creed and religion. Today, we celebrated Christmas with the underprivileged school children of Joyjeet Das Memorial School to bring joy among those kids who hardly get a chance to celebrate any occasion," said Joseph Mathew, Principal, Indus valley World School.

"Being a responsible institution, it is our endeavour to spread smile among all. Such initiatives also help in the character development of the students as they learn to share, give and be responsible,” said Mathew.

There were 110 students from Joyjeet Das Memorial School who participated in this initiative.

Hundreds of students and teachers from Indus Valley World School presented Christmas Carol and a dance performance for these children.
