New Delhi, Sept 26 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated ISRO on successful launch of PSLV-C35/SCATSAT-1 and 7 co-passenger satellites.

He said India's space scientists scripted history with the launch on Monday.

"Moment of immense joy & pride for India. Congratulations to @isro on successful launch of PSLV-C35/SCATSAT-1 & 7 co-passenger satellites," Modi tweeted.

"Our space scientists keep scripting history. Their innovative zeal has touched the lives of 125 crore Indians & made India proud worldwide," he said.

India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, in its thirty-seventh flight (PSLV-C35), launched the 371 kg SCATSAT-1 for ocean and weather related studies and seven co-passenger satellites into polar Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO) on Monday.

Co-passenger satellites are from Algeria, Canada and USA as well as two satellites from Indian Universities or Academic Institute.
