Forest fire near Vaishno Devi shrine in J&K
Jammu, May 18 (IBNS) Indian Air Force helicopters have been pressed into service on Wedndesday to douse the forest fire raging near the famous Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu and Kashmir, according to media reports.
The fire started in the Trikuta Hills on Tuesday night.
According to police sources, there has been no reports of any damage to life and property.
The choppers that ferry pilgrims to and from the shrine have been moved to a safe distance and services have been suspended, media reported.
