IDBI Bank celebrates 25 years of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Banking and Finance

Hyderabad, Dec 20 (IBNS): IDBI Bank celebrated the Silver Jubilee of its premier training institute, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Banking and Finance (JNIBF), Hyderabad recently.

H.R. Khan, Former Deputy Governor, RBI was the Chief Guest.

Set up in 1991, JNIBF caters to the training requirements of employees of the Bank as also of other Institutions/ Banks in areas such as project appraisal, credit analysis/ monitoring, retail banking, SME and agri finance and executive development.

In his address, Khan discussed in detail the emerging challenges facing the banking sector and the importance of skill development for banking professionals.

He also complimented JNIBF for being a great training institute for IDBI and the banking sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Kishor Kharat, MD & CEO, IDBI Bank said, “The completion of twenty-five years of the Institute is a major milestone indicating consistent efforts towards sharing global best practices and philosophies. JNIBF will continue to invest in training for organisational development."

On this occasion, Kharat, also inaugurated the Zonal Office of IDBI Bank located at Hyderabad.
