Dignitaries from 25 countries assemble in West Bengal to attend Bengal Global Business Summit 2016

Kolkata, Jan 8 (IBNS): Dignitaries from 25 countries and top business leaders, including Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, assembled in Kolkata to attend the Bengal Global Business Summit 2016 on Friday.

Thanking all delegates for attending the summit, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee: "Heartiest thanks to all guests, delegates, dignitaries from 25 countries for a successful Day 1 of Bengal Global Business Summit."

Speaking at the event, Ambani said the state is on the ranks high in terms of ease of doing business.

"Bengal ranks high in terms of ease of doing business. I congratulate CM Ms Mamata Banerjee for her leadership," Ambani said.

Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay said: "Mamata Banerjee is a household name in Bhutan. We were honoured to host her last year."

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal urged people to invest in West Bengal.

"The West Bengal Chief Minister is a gutsy leader but on a personal level she is a great host, a warm person. I request all of you to whole-heartedly invest in Bengal," he said.

UK's Minister of State for Employment Priti Patel said that the partnership between her country and West Bengal is stronger than ever.

"UK-Bengal partnership stronger than ever.More trade &investment boosting economic prosperity for our 2 great nations," Patel tweeted.

She also met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Mamata Banerjee.
