Kolkata, June 18 (IBNS): Volvo Auto India on Wednesday announced the launch of the all-new V40 in India.

The new V40 will continue to offer luxury, features and style in a compact package. The new V40 will be available in D3 Kinetic and D3 R-design, 6 Speed Automatic transmissions with class-leading 150HP and a whopping 350Nm torque.

Two variants were launched on Thursday-V40 Kinetic at Rs. 24.75 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi) and the V40 R-Design at INR 27.7 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Volvo V40, will be retailed through Volvo dealerships across the country starting on Thursday.

The classic V-shaped bonnet is further enhanced by bolder expressive lines. The high-gloss grille is low and wide in order to create a sporty, close-to-the-ground feel. The lower opening is surrounded at the corners by sculpted bodywork, stretching from one wheel arch to the other. The sculptured corners not only add character, they also direct the airflow to improve aerodynamics.

Tom von Bonsdorff, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India said,"I am excited about introducing V40 on the Indian roads. V40 represents a model which is premium in design, features, technology and safety redefining the compact luxury offering in the segment. It is way ahead of the competition when it comes to intelligent accident prevention and mitigation. The car will bring in new impetus to our growth strategy in India.”
