Kolkata, Jan 9 (IBNS): UBM India, an organizer of jewellery fairs in India, on Friday announced the second international B2B jewellery fair in Eastern India- Kolkata Jewellery & Gem Fair 2015.

This will held at the Mila Mela Exhibition complex from 10th January – 12th January 2015.

After the phenomenal success of the first edition of the Kolkata Gem & Jewellery Fair in the year 2014, the mega jewellery trade fair this year is set to attract over 200 participants from South East Asia, Nepal, Bangladesh and Australia along with Indian exhibitors.

With an expected footfall of 6000 visitors, the fair is slated to be the biggest such platform for the jewellers in Eastern India.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Saneja, Sr. Group Director, UBM India said, “East India is the country's major market for handcrafted gold jewellery and Kolkata has emerged as a favourite destination for lightweight plain gold jewellery. We are proud to associate with Calcutta Gems & Jewellery Association for our second edition of Kolkata Jewellery & Gem Fair in Eastern India.”

"The Expo in addition to being state’s only show of such size and volume, is a significant contributor towards our India footprint in the jewellery vertical with successful established shows in Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Gujarat, reaching over 1.5 lacs jewellers across India through our exhibitions and roadshows," Saneja added.

The Expo is also marked by the Golden Hand Awards and Jewellery Fashion Show. This, India’s only such award is a unique initiative honouring the traditional ‘karigars’ for their craftsmanship.

The Expo will have pavilions for players across jewellery categories such as Gold, Diamond, etc.
