Pune, Nov 17 (IBNS) The I-League match scheduled between Pune FC and Air India at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mhalunge-Balewadi, on Sunday, was called off in view of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray's death in Mumbai on Saturday.
"We deeply regret to inform you that the I-League match scheduled between Pune FC and Air India at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mhalunge-Balewadi, on Sunday, is postponed," said a statement issued by the Pune FC on late Saturday evening.
"The decision was taken by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) in view of the sudden demise of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackrey at Mumbai, on Saturday."
"The match thus stands postponed until further notice. We note to inform you as and when AIFF rescheduled the said match," said the statement.
