New Delhi, Feb 23 (IBNS) Defence Minister AK Antony on Tuesday said the beheading of Sikhs by militants in Pakistan, will be taken up at the Indo-Pak talks scheduled for Feb 25.
"It is shocking. The Indian population in Pakistan is sad about. Hope Pakistan government will take appropriate action. We will be taking this up in Foreign Secretary talks," Antony told reporters .
Earlier, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had said they are ‘equally shocked’ at the incident.
"We are equally concerned. We condemn that strongly. They (militants) are inhuman. They have (make) no distinction between individuals, ethnicities or religions regardless," Qureshi told Pak media.
Two Sikh youths-Jaspal Singh and Mahal Singh- were beheaded for ransom by members of the Tehrik-e-Talibanat at Tirah valley of Khyber Agency in Pakistan, according to reports.
Two other Sikhs, Gurvinder Singh and Gurjit Singh, are still in the custody of the terrorists. All four were traders by profession.
