PM declared World Statesman 2010

India Blooms News Service

Washington/New Delhi, Mar 11 (IBNS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be conferred the World Statesman Award for the year 2010 by the Appeal of Conscience Foundation.


Indian Ambassador to the US Meera Shankar said Singh has accepted the awards that will be presented to him in September.

The past recipients of this award include British Prime Minister Gordon Brown (2009), French President Nicolas Sarkozy (2008), German Chancellor Angela Merkel (2007) and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (2006).
