Rathore, around whom noose tightened after a civil society movement demanding harsh punishment for his crime intensified, last week got anticipatory bail till Jan 7 in the case.

The molester's wife Abha Rathore accused the media of distorting facts about the case. "The media is showing wrong facts," she said, NDTV reported.

The decision on the bail is expected to be taken on Friday.
Rathore was recently convicted for molesting 14-year old Ruchika Girhotra in 1990. The teenager later committed suicide in 1993 after she and her family was harrassed by the top cop and his goons for three years.

Rathore was finally booked on Tuesday for abetting the suicide of Ruchika. The Haryana police booked him under section 306 of Indian Penal Code

This is a non-bailable charge.
