Chandigarh, Oct 29 (IBNS): Haryana continued to drag national attentions for wrong reasons as the state Police on Monday said they have registered a case against Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) MLA Dharampal Obra and his wife Sheela for allegedly threatening and slapping a differently-abled raped woman and her husband.
Obra and Sheela were also booked for making casteist remarks against the 30-year-old rape victim and her husband, the police said.
The police said a First Information Report (FIR) was registered against Obra's nephew Rajinder on Saturday for raping the victim besides making her video clips.
According to reports, the victim said in her complaint that Rajinder raped her between Oct 2011 and Feb 2012 when her husband was away from Obra village in Bhiwani district of the state for few months.
She alleged that the Rajinder also made her video clip and warned of killing her if she disclosed the matter to anyone.
The victim narrated the incident to her husband when he returned home.
She said the MLA was threatening them.
Th MLA, however, has denied the charges levelled against them.
