Panaji, Sept 27 (IBNS) The Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) filed a chargesheet against suspended Goa police official Sunil Gudlar, who was caught in a sting operation hobnobbing with relatives of an Israeli on drug sale, 21 months ago.
The chargesheet filed before the Special Court, North Goa accuses him of corruption and links with drugs mafia.
“Gudlar had admitted in the sting video of having threatened to implicate David Driham Dudu in a drug case and that his (Gudlar) bosses knew the language of money. It also showed drugs in his possession,” said a CBI official wishing anonymity.
Dudu’s sister Ayala and his girlfriend Zarina Mazhrunova had planned the sting.
The investigating team will file a supplementary charge sheet as forensic analyses report on the video is still awaited.
CBI took over three such cases of police drug cartel nexus mid-last year following High Court order. Nearly 15 policemen, two Israeli nationals Dudu and Yaniv Benaim Atala, politician’s son Roy Naik and several others are being probed by the CBI. The whistleblower who actually expose the racket Lucky Farmhouse recently submitted her statement to the CBI.
