Bomb found on railway track in Assam

Guwahati, Oct 17 (IBNS): Security forces recovered a powerful bomb from a railway track in Assam’s Barpeta district on Wednesday, police said.
Local people had noticed some suspicious components near a stretch of railway track near Barpeta railway station and informed police.
Police recovered the bomb, which was hidden under a boulder of the track.
Security forces also recovered a letter of new insurgent group “Bengali Sangram Mukti Bahini” near the bomb.
Later, a bomb squad team defused the bomb.
Meanwhile, two dacoits were apprehended by police from a dhaba near Baihata chariali in Kamrup (Rural) district on Wednesday.
The nabbed dacoits were identified as Babu Ali and Dildar Ali and they had involved many cases in the district.
